La Madeleine de Proust Santa Catalina

Absolutely phenomenal galette des rois! The team is incredibly warm and friendly . The coffee is excellent, and the freshly baked galette des rois is delightfully light, flavorful, and expertly made. A huge shout-out to the French gentleman who truly knows how to please his customers. Exceptional job !

I don’t understand why this place only has 4 stars. Despite being in a touristy area, it still retains its Spanish charm. I had a great breakfast, the price-quality ratio was very good, and the service was authentic. I would gladly come back.

This café is located in Santa Catalina neighborhood. It has an authentic touch. You can sit on the sidewalk and enjoy watching the neighborhood life goes by. The service was slow, but the staff were nice. only one of them spoke some English. the prices were so inexpensive compared to those in the touristic areas.

Very nice French café with delicious homemade pastery, baguettes or fancy desserts. Right next to the Mercat de Santa Catalina. Better to come walking or on the scooter as in this zone is not easy to find parking.

We went here for breakfast on our first morning. Pastries, sandwiches and coffee (they have soy milk!!) are great at this place. It's nice to sit outside and people watch. The only thing that bothered me: When I wanted to take a photo for my travel blog, a woman (maybe owner) told me quite rudely not to take photos inside. It's a shame and doesn't make any sense. The other waiters and people behind the counter, though, were really really friendly.
