Museo de Mallorca

We loved this museum of Mallorca. Not small, not too big with a lovely collection of religious paintings, sculptures and pottery.

Very nice small museum to get to know the history and past of the island. Beautiful art pieces and complete explanations. Almost any other visitor, which is good considering it is located in the crowded old town zone. Almost for free! Tickets are 2,5 euros.

2.40 EUR to enter. Self guided museum. Wonderfully air conditioned. Plenty to see for an hour, worth the entry. A mixture of art and artefacts.

It's a rather small museum, but worth visiting to see the artworks of Mallorca's artists throughout the ages. Some of the paintings were especially striking with their vibrant colors and beautiful techniques, but I also admired the sculptures a lot.

The tickets were very affordable, the AC inside was a blessing, and in addition to that, there were very few visitors, so I could look at everything in peace. My tour of the place took around 40 minutes.

It is an art history place explaining the transformation through centuries! You can see the paintings and sculptures beginning from 12th century to 19th century. You will be surprised what can the museum offer you regarding the details of the artworks. There is no English explanations on the works but there are English explanations on the period informations. It's free to enter and not crowded.
