Restaurante Buscando El Norte

I had a great evening at Buscando El Norte in Palma de Mallorca. I enjoyed a selection of tapas and a lovely bottle of Anima Negra 2 wine. A starter of fish ceviche set the tone beautifully. For mains I had burratina and the standout dish: pulpo a la plancha (grilled octopus) with spicy mashed potatoes. This was my absolute favourite of the night. Dessert was light and perfectly balanced: a panna cotta with mango.

The restaurant is spacious with a stylish interior and there is a big table with sofa seating that is ideal for groups. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. If you are looking for a special dinner in Palma with quality food and a relaxed atmosphere, this place checks all the boxes.

We stumbled upon this place looking to get out of the rain. It was a great find. The oxtail croquettas were amazing. They may just be the best croquettas I've ever eaten. The pork shoulder burger was equally amazing. I could have happily eaten 50 of those. I find octopus to be hit or miss depending on how it's cooked, but this was certainly a hit. It was cooked well and not at all chewy or rubbery. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that it took a long time to get the bill.

The service was great. I was on my own and was welcomed to sit at a table. Food was good. Popular among locals and tourists!

Loved it! Very friendly and accommodating staff, delicious food, and great atmosphere. We had about twenty different tapas/ main dishes, what stood out for me was the foie and also the brioche with ham as. But it was all so delicious, hard to not enjoy the food there. I heard the sangria wasn’t all that exciting but I am not a sangria drinker so that’s second hand hearsay. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Very good and tasty dishes. Pinchos are excellent! The service is good, the ambiance is attractive. I recommend sea bass with rice in pesto!
