Protecting your personal data is important to us. Below we inform you, in accordance with the GDPR, about how your data is processed on Mallorca Trust.

2. What data we process

  • Reviews: display name, email address (for verification only, not public), review text, star rating, language, date and the IP address at the time of submission.
  • Business accounts: name, email address, encrypted password and the claimed business listing.
  • Server log files: when you access the website, your IP address, date/time, the page requested and browser/device information are processed automatically.
  • Cookies: a technically necessary session cookie and the storage of your language choice. No tracking or advertising cookies are set.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Publishing and displaying reviews – your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in a trustworthy platform (lit. f).
  • Email verification of reviews to prevent abuse – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Provision and management of business accounts – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Operation, security and stability of the website (log files) – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Recipients and hosting

The website is hosted with a service provider within the European Union that processes data solely on our behalf and instructions (Art. 28 GDPR). Data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Only your display name and the review text are publicly visible.

5. Retention period

Reviews are stored for as long as they are published; account data for as long as the account exists. Server log files are deleted or anonymised after a short period. On request we delete your data unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection at any time. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, contact: info@mallorca-trust.com

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), www.aepd.es.

7. Changes

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements.
