Restaurante Mediterráneo Essence

Restaurante Mediterráneo Essence is quite possibly the worst 'restaurant' I have visited- and I've visited some bad ones. The staff were just sitting around chatting when we arrived. They weren't attentive or very friendly. We were told the buffet was £21 each in advance. This is fair enough as it's primarily attached to a hotel. The buffet consisted of a chicken 'curry' 'carbonara' , some dried up old fish and a couple of other dishes, alongside stale, several day old salad and cold meats. I wish to god we'd just walked away, but we'd paid by then. My husband and I ate very little. I tried the 'curry' which was almost cold, with the meat looking slightly pink. It was tasteless and slimy. Certainly hadn't been near any spices! I had probably 2 mouthfuls. My son finished the 'curry' and tried some of the 'carbonara'. (also cold) He said it was tasteless and unpleasant, but was very hungry. We didn't have a desert as they looked old and out of date. I grabbed a kiwi and it was stale and hard. We took 3 small complimentary ice creams which were ok. We barely stayed 40 minutes because the food was vile and the atmosphere was awful. My son had stomach ache all night and was sick early in the morning. This 'restaurant' should not be allowed to trade. I am appalled by it and would not recommend this to anyone. Avoid.

We are so happy with the animation team, Mehdi and Parteek. They anímate a lot the People and the water games and the morning streching are the Best activities organized for him. Thanks for the experience

I really enjoyed my stay at Ona Garden Lago - the hotel’s location and facilities are lovely and the animation team were great (especially Mehdi and Igor!) :)

We had a lovely week at the attached hotel and we ate breakfast and dinner every day at this restaurant. Both we and the kids always found something good to eat. Supernice and serviceminded staff that always was doing there best to help and please us! Thank u!

Stayed at Ona Garden Lago with family and was treated to a wonderful buffet for breakfast and dinner here every day for an incredibly good price!

Staff were exceptionally friendly and catered to any requests we had and the trip wouldn't have been the same without their amazing service!
